This is my first attempt at Project Life and digital scrapbooking. I'm so loving this project, format and flexibility. I'm going to try to keep all my pages updated here along with a link to a closer look at the pages and information about the products I used. I think the best thing about digital is that it is extremely cost effective for me and I can make multiple copies of it for my daughters to keep as they grow up and leave the house.
The Templates I use:
For my entire project life book, I'll be using the Project Life Templates by Becky Higgins. You can purchase them here: PROJECT LIFE TEMPLATES
My themes will also be the Project Life Kits (all themes) by Becky Higgins. My favorite of all of them is the Cobalt kit so I will likely use that one more than any other but I'm using a mix throughout the book to compliment the pictures. You can purchase them here:
Printing/Binding:
I will most likely be printing my book out through Blurb at the end of the year. I had my wedding book printed in hardback form through them and was very impressed with the quality and price. There are other options for having your pages printed. You can always have them printed in 12x12 size and then slip them into the large page protectors if you want it to have more of that "scrapbook" feel.

DeleteLindsay, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your layouts! When you completed a Becky Higgins' PL page, what format are you saving it as for BLURB book? I'm a newbie in Photoshop Elements and will probably use BLURB's BOOKIFY as it seems to be the simplest. Not sure what software you use to complete your digital PL pages but any infom will be greatly appreciated! Thanks a mil!

ReplyDeleteAre you completing your pages in PSE? And are the individual pages stored there? I'm new to project life and digital scrapbooking just curious to learn more. I love the idea of printing several books so all family members can have one.
ReplyDeleteI have a question for you, Lindsay. On your pages, I can see some spots that are 6x8 and 6x12. How did you make these size spots without losing the corner shape? I've tried to drag the shape out to the size, but the corners go weird. I'm using Photoshop CS5, but I'm sure it will be similar in this and elements if you're using a different version.
