I can't stop.
I'm not alone.
Don't pretend you don't spend all your time pinning stuff you'll never make, things you'll never have, places you'll never go and food you'll never eat. I know. I get it.
Except, there will come a time where you actually do something you see on there. Today was that day for me!
I pinned this piece (from this shop should you also love it) over 30 weeks ago:
Yea, that's right. 30 weeks. Today, I made my own version. I'm super timely, I know!
Mine looks like this:
The exact time and place where M and I met. That was a good night, even if he did seem way too shy for me. Who knew?
This can be used for places you've lived, a school you went to, important places in your life, where you grew up, where you're from, your current home, etc.
THE FREEBIE:
Because I'm missing my AZ friends and home right now, I went ahead and made a few others for you guys to print out should they apply to you.
Just click the link for the city that you love to download it. It looks like this:
THE GIVEAWAY:
I'm going to make an 8x10 "Important Place" print for one blog reader. Any state (or country for that matter) and any 2 colors. You just let me know what place in the world is the most important to you and we'll make it happen.
All you have to do is follow this blog by clicking the button on the right sidebar and then leave me a comment telling me where your important place is! Easy as that. Contest will run through Sunday, January 15 and I'll announce the winner on Monday.
Good luck to ya!

Oh I'm so with you on the Pinterest - mine is full of gorgeousness that I aspire to but will never in a month of Sundays ever complete - Oh! well I love just looking at them :)
Well done on completing your project - it's lovely xx
My important place would be Avare, S. Paulo Brasil. I spent a year there as an exchange student and it has a super special place in my heart.
First one to comment.....YES!!!! Logan, Utah, Utah State University. Small, quaint place....first met Mark and I hated him but interestingly enough, hate turned to love :)
Love this! My place is Safeco Field in Seattle (where the Mariners play... and where I met my hubby!)
Love this! My special place would be Fargo, ND, where I met my now-fiance at college. Thanks so much for the chance to win!
Looooove this. My important place is Savannah, GA - where we got engaged :)
I would love to win one of these! My first wedding anniversary is coming up and it would be a perfect gift for my husband! I met him in Scottsdale at Maloney's! HA! :)
Hope you are doing well, Lindsay!

Boulder, Colorado.
It is where Mike and I first met on May 30, 2003, and where we made it official just shy of eight years later on May 29, 2011!
I'd love to win one for Mesa, AZ. It's the city in which my babies were born, where I became a mother, where my existence was forever altered. :-)
Nice work!

Comment lost in cyberspace:
Lindsay, I have long followed your blog through your paper scrapping days. I love your style!
I've pinned a bazillion things on pinterest and am always quite amused when I actually make or do something that I've pinned there. Such fun though to be inspired by all that is out there.
Your print is awesome! If I were to win, I think I'd choose Texas [where my hubs and I grew up and live now] or Las Vegas NV [where we were married]. Hmmm.

What a great everyday reminder of the beginning of your life together. I would pick Mount Pleasant Winery in Augusta, MO... where I first meet my husband.
I have way tooooo many important places so I have a tough time picking just one. I do have one question though.....can I get the AZ map in Red and Blue for the U of A ;-D LOL!!!!
I would love to have one of these for me and my boyfriend!! I'd either pick Seattle, WA (where we met) or Issaquah, WA (our first place together).
Thanks for a fun contest!

My important place would be Uganda Africa... it is where DJ and I met and I started to have a big fatty crush on him. He was awkward and quiet and wore jeans that were too short. Haha
Well my important place would be Alexandria, VA as it is the place that repaired my heart and lead me to my husband...although he would say Richmond, VA since we have a north vs south battle all the time.
*Also I am so happy that you are blogging again more frequently!
This is such a cool idea! Mine would be Tempe, AZ where jason and I re fell in love :)....Melissa Extein
I would love to win one. If I win, it would be for Ambergris Caye, Belize. We went there in Sept 2008 and fell in love with the people and the country. Its such a beautiful place! My favorite place is Highlands, Texas close Houston but a very small town feel. Yeah it's four miles or more to the closest Thrift Store but the quiet and peaceful feel is worth it
