Dear Baby: Month 11

I'm waaaay behind on posting his for poor Baby Addy, but better late than never, huh? Here we go...

Dear Kennedy,

Here you are at 11 months old:

Look how much you grew this month! Really, I am just amazed by you. You truly are a little independent and strong little girl. You are walking up a storm this month and pretty much over crawling unless you need to move fast. You also got 2 more teeth with another one quickly approaching. Getting so big and moving through these milestones, makes me a little sad that you're not going to be my baby much longer (well, at least not in age).

Your hair has become so long this month that I can put it in a tiny pony tail on top of your head. You have got the most gorgeous head of brown hair. It's shiny, thick and so far pretty straight, though I have a feeling it will turn curly like your sisters' soon.

You're a dream, Addy. You don't make a sound (not even a whimper) at bed time (7:30pm) and you're content to hang in your bed if you wake up before 8:00am. You're starting to interact more and more with your sisters and are communicating with your Daddy and I very efficiently. You use your sign language to tell us if you are all done with something and you shake your head no if you're done eating a certain food.

You've got an amazing smile with some seriously big upper teeth. I mean big. I think you must get those teeth from your Daddy. Lucky you! He has a great smile with nice, straight, beautiful teeth!

This month you've started to get into things, become mischievous and curious about your surroundings. I find you quickly moving from room to room and if I don't constantly supervise you, I'll have to hunt you down. I find you clear across the house in more cases than not! You're also getting bumps and bruises all over from all of the spills you're taking right now. Poor girl, your sisters are a little rough with you sometimes. They don't know to treat you gently in some situations and you fall into more walls and furniture than they did. It must be a sign of a younger sibling. You'll get them back someday!

Addy, as you're getting older I'm missing you more and more. You're still breastfeeding but only 1-2 feedings a day. Though I'm happy to have some "me time" back, I miss our time like crazy. You really are such an easy baby and I'm so blessed to be your mommy.

Love you so much, sometimes it hurts,

Mommy
